Digital Finance Innovation Specialist

　　Job Overview

　　TE Connectivity's Financial Planning & Analysis Teams develop, interpret and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control. They perform technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. They gather, analyze, prepare and summarize recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. The Financial Planning & Analysis Teams also perform economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.

　　Responsibilities:

　　General : Reporting to the Digital Finance Reporting Manager your role is to innovate and enhance digital content in the Transportation Solutions Segment BU Finance area (FP&A and Operations Finance). Working as part of a team you will be given development projects to work on and as such will need project management and timeline skills. You should also have excellent communication skills as you will work directly with customers of all levels to implement your solutions and train them to use them or to enhance them. Since these are finance users you will need a high level of finance business acumen and a strong knowledge of the systems to solve their requirements most efficiently. As this is team supporting finance there will be pressured times around the month-end close process and you should be used to working in this kind of environment where deadlines must be kept, and first-time accuracy is important.

　　Data Visualization and System : Responsible for turning data into visual form using tools like Tableau and simplifying daily work with PowerApps. You will need to manage Tableau server user security for the dashboards published there in line with the data published on the SharePoint. Additionally you will be responsible for the upgrade process of the team’s client software in line with Tableau server updates. You are expected to keep up to date externally with visual tools and visualization through research or email subscriptions etc. Stay Innovative!

　　SharePoint Management : Good Knowledge of how MS SharePoint works, e.g. security of sites and libraries to protect sensitive financial data, creating pages and libraries, versions. Experience of promoting collaboration through MS tools to create a visual experience to market our solutions and content. Use of internal Viva Engage for promoting discussions. Use of MS Forms for surveys etc. Good knowledge of MS Teams and add-ins for sharing work tasks and priority setting etc.

　　Training & Backup: Provide training, on new, Innovative solutions to our team to enable them to support our finance customers. Make sure all your processes are documented to enable temporary cover for your role and provide documentation of your solutions to TE standards for your customers and for best-practice sharing purposes. It is envisaged that your solutions will pass on to the Digital Finance Maintenance team.

　　Desired Candidate Profile:

　　Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics or related technical discipline

　　5+ years of industry experience in data analysis. Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases

　　Extensive work experience in Tableau Dashboards, Power Apps

　　Advanced proficiency in Excel (including VBA, Pivot Tables, array functions, Power Pivots, etc.)

　　Strong quantitative skills

　　Strong decision making Skills

　　Advanced project management skills

　　Strong organizational skills and Customer oriented approach to business

　　Excellent hands-on experience with Tableau Dashboard, Tableau Server and understand the data warehouse concepts.

　　Experience in SharePoint and Business Social Media tools

　　Excellent problem-solving skills

　　Excited to learn new technologies and analytical methodologies relating to business intelligence and data analysis

　　Knowledge on SQL database and visual studio packages, is an added advantage

　　Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to translate ambiguous business requirements into complex analyses and actionable insights

　　Good Knowledge and experience in creating training module and conducting training for group of people, on visualization tools
