Job Description:
The Digital Controls, Senior Manager role is responsible for managing a well-established interaction between finance risk and IT systems, including an increasing number of digital solutions, that support finance processes across Segments, regions and functions. This role will contribute to the financial control requirements need to provide the foundation for reliance on data, reports, automated controls, and other system functionality underlying business processes. In addition, it will reduce the number of IT audit issues as there will be an increase of proactive risk management and visibility of control requirements (i.e., core finance systems should always have IT General Controls).

This is a key role to ensure that Mars, Incorporated maintains high standards of internal control and governance, risk, and compliance in an efficient and effective manner. This position is the subject matter expert in the areas of application controls, continuous controls monitoring, user access and segregation of duties risks across a variety of businesses and their financial systems, including those associated with system implementations.
What are we looking for?
Required:
8+ years of experience in accounting or risk & control roles, with a focus for at least 4 years in roles practicing controls (with digital focus) specificallyExperience with designing, implementing and/or monitoring end to end business processes and controls, including application controls, segregation of duties, and continuous controls monitoring.Experience with one or several of the following: COSO, COBIT, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance programsExperience with one or several of the following: SAP ECC, SAP Central Finance, SAP GRC AC/PC, Oracle Financials, Oracle Cloud, Navision, Celonis, PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx
Nice to have:
Experience with Big 4 public accounting, CPG, manufacturing, or service-based industriesExperience with privately owned, global, decentralized organization
What will be your key responsibilities?
Lead effort to identify and evaluate potential automated controls in financial systems, including scoping and coordination of projectsOngoing partnership with Segment/MGS Controllers, Governance & Controls leads and Digital Technologies to align the respective control frameworks, create an enhanced set of control requirements to reduce the potential risks to finance associated within business processes and underlying applicationsManagement and communication of system access management policies and control requirements, including certifications and management of SoD ruleset to ensure it aligns with the SoD Risk FrameworkCreation of additional guidance and requirements based on new technology available within Mars
