Job Description
The Dietary Technician provides clinical nutrition care to patients, outpatients, and/or residents of the Skilled Nursing Unit. Utilizes technical training and government mandated nutritional standards on food health to develop healthy menu implementation plans. May work closely with Food & Beverage Development, and typically has a clinical certification.
Job Responsibilities
? Responsive to customer needs and provides world-class service to customers and clients by following Aramark?s service model
? Maintains the highest levels of safety, quality and service excellence for Aramark?s employees, clients, consumers, shareholders, and the community
? Ensures that each customer feels informed, understood, and special through genuine and positive communication
? Contributes ideas and feedback to the department and can be depended upon to meet commitments
? Completes nutrition assessments and care plans for inpatients (of lower level of care) (age specific) and residents
? Completes nutrition counseling of inpatients and outpatients/presents nutrition programs to community groups
? Functions as a member of the leadership team
? Checks menus for compliance with diet order/updates non-select menus for residents
? Participates in Quality Control and Quality Assurance data collection
? Attends weekly interdisciplinary/resident/patient care meetings
? Directs volunteer activities for nutrition care services
? Checks trays for accuracy of menu items
? Assists in the supervision and management of employees working in the Food Services department
? Completes online learning and other training as assigned
? Reports on any mechanical failure or negative condition of assigned workplace to the Director/Manager
? Demonstrates knowledge of departmental fire, safety, disaster, and infection control procedures
? Maintains all records and reports to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations and codes

Qualifications
? Previous relevant working experience preferred
? Requires a Bachelor of Science in food and nutrition
? Ability to maintain a friendly, efficient, positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workers
? Ability to maintain a contagious and positive work ethic and inspire others
Conditions of employment may or may not include busy hospital and outpatient settings, from patient rooms/floors to kitchen/serving areas.
