  The mobile diesel mechanic will be responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, and servicing of various conventional and specialized equipment and motorized machinery, including gas and diesel vehicles. This work involves repairing, servicing, or maintenance tasks and conducting physical tests and checks to ensure that the work has been completed satisfactorily. Additionally, the candidate will travel to various locations in Arkansas and Louisiana once a month in a company-provided vehicle to perform maintenance, repairs, and equipment servicing, contributing to the operational efficiency and safety of the machinery in each area.

  Essential Functions:

  Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.

  Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.

  Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.

  Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.

  Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.

  Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges.

  Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.

  Fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

  Qualifications:

  High School Diploma or completion of a vocational training program in automotive, diesel, or heavy equipment maintenance

  Four years of full-time automotive mechanic experience, one year of which must have been in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment at the commercial or professional repair.

  Experience working with equipment ranging from small gasoline engines to heavy-duty diesel equipment and truck, also lots of medium-duty diesel trucks.

  Previous work experience in analyzing and interpreting information/data.

  Ability to manage multiple priorities and plan and organize work to meet deadlines.

  Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  Capability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.

  Independent working ability and strong decision-making skills

  Excellent communication skills and proficiency in math

  Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  Valid and active driver's license

  Ability to travel once a month for a week to AR or LA.

  Selected candidates must complete a background check and pass a drug screening.
