Our team is maximising the latest emerging technologies to craft the software core of Peapod Digital Labs' eCommerce and order fulfillment platforms In this role, you will be responsible for leading and strengthening a team of dedicated engineers, and providing technical guidance in the areas of telemetry, logging, and tracing. You will collaborate with platform and product engineering teams to evolve our observability platform for the unified monitoring of thousands of Azure cloud and on-premises hosts and services.

Work to ensure that our monitoring platform detects issues and anomalies in the critically important systems with high relevance and accuracyProvide technical leadership over metrics, logging, tracing, profiling, alerting, and visualization. When needed lead technical investigation into code and system design to help diagnose issuesBuild and lead impactful engineering team. The Essentials In Your Cart - The required ingredients
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience1+ years of leadership roles in software engineering or platform engineering fields8+ years of professional experience in software engineering or systems engineering fieldsDemonstrable experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, DataDog, Azure Monitor)Proven experience with Azure Cloud platform and Azure DevOps pipelines preferred (other public cloud technologies considered)Deep experience with configuration management tools such as Salt, Ansible, or ChefExperience with DevOps practices and operating your own systemsExperience with open source softwareExperience with one or more scripting languagesYou promote willingness, diversity of opinions, and inclusive discussions at all times to evaluate a wide variety of ideas and perspectives in solving challenging problemsClear decision-making in complex situationsStellar written and verbal communication skillsExcellent soft skills to establish good rapport and working relationships
