In your role as Development Engineer Extruded products (m/f/diverse) you will develop new product technologies in terms of design and process. For that purpose, you will manage and implement advanced developed projects effectively. Your role will also include the following activities:
Management of projects in the field of plastic extrusion (especially with regard to extrusion tool design and selection of suitable plastic materials).
Close cooperation with our Tech Centers and plants for extrusion as well as our testing laboratories
Concept evaluation by using design validation plans, FMEAs and risk analysis
Interpretation of part and process simulation results
Supporting material selection and deriving material specifications from application requirements
Preparation of calculations for business case considerations
Worldwide process supporting, test planning, execution, and evaluation
Collaboration in the creation of guidelines, FMEAs, and problem-solving projects
This position can be filled in Hann. Münden or Hamburg.
Academic engineering degree in the field of mechanical engineering, product development or plastics technology
Experience in plastic tube and hose extrusion
CAD capability to create extrusion tools drawings
Knowledge in the development of new plastic tubes and hoses
Familiar with creative methods in the concept phase
Knowledge in SAP desirable
Business-fluent German and English language skills (written and spoken) as well as willingness to work in an international team
Excellent analytical skills and solution-oriented, proactive way of working
Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Project management skills
Passion for plastic products
Willingness to travel (10-20%)
