We are seeking a skilled and experienced Development Engineer for Gearbox to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our organization, you will be in charge of for the design, development, and improvement of current and future generations of EV mechanical powertrain systems. The role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities, including gear design, analysis, and the development of cutting-edge technologies for EV gearboxes.
Key responsibilities:
Design, develop, and enhance current and future generations of EV mechanical powertrain systems for Light and Commercial Vehicles and other applications. Develop detailed technical specifications for gearbox components with a specific focus on micro-geometry definition. Gear design and analysis for diverse gears in planetary and parallel axis gearing. Create customer-centric gear layouts. Develop new EV gearbox technologies and present ideas to management. Apply NVH/acoustics/Powertrain knowledge with practical experience. Conduct vibro-acoustic analysis for optimal gear geometry, bearings, and gearbox housing. Design for Manufacturability, reliability, metrology, testing, and validation. In-depth gear rating calculations using ISO, AGMA, JIS standards. Bearing selection and analysis for various types. use gear simulation software like Kisssoft, Romax, Masta for optimum gear geometry.
You will fit into the team with this profile:
University degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent. At least 4- 6 years in gearbox design, preferably in the automotive industry. Specialization in gearbox design with Masta is advantageous. Basic knowledge of mechanical design, GD&T, stack-up analysis, DFMEA, and 2D/3D CAD modeling. Understanding CAE tools like Ansys (added advantage).
