The Payloads organization within Boeing Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Design Engineer (M, F, D) (Mid-Level and Senior) to join the 777 Interior Monuments team. The selected candidate will be expected to work at the supplier location in Herborn, Germany .
The Payloads organization is responsible for everything you see when you fly; and a lot that you don’t: the interior of the airplane, along with the lavatories, galleys , cargo compartments, exterior markings, associated systems, and cabin safety all make up Payloads. We enable our airline customers to fulfill their mission and represent their brand.
Our organization is a fast-paced, dynamic environment, which pulls from many engineering backgrounds. A customer introduction represents the unique configuration details for the first airplane implementation of a customer’s order block. Galley and BFE Engineers are responsible for managing the integration of multiple development customer intro programs into Boeing aircraft by implementation, overseeing supplier designs, integration, certification, and delivery of assigned programs to ensure all customer, regulatory, and Boeing requirements are met.

You will establish technical direction, integrated and recovery schedules, and priority for assigned projects.
The selected candidate will have a statement of work that spans the customer introduction lifecycle: leading the upfront technical definition, feasibility studies, supporting configuration development, resolving cross-commodity and interface design issues, validating and verifying design requirements, and identifying and managing risks.
Using your business acumen, desire for challenging projects, and ability to lead through ambiguity, you will be able to combine the expertise and resources of the Interiors organization to certify and deliver the best interior products within the industry.
