About the Role: Manages the demandplanning process which includes overseeing the analysis for overallproduct demand, forecasting future demand and product need, and buildingdemand schedules. Leads the development and implementation of salesforecasts, making and communicating demand planning decisions,identifying, and resolving forecast variances, participating in S&OPprocesses, contributing to special projects, and collaborating acrossfunctional teams throughout the process. What you will be doing:Manages, leads, and analyzes the rolling demand and sales forecast for adefined period of time for product categories. Predicts consumer demandbased on factors such as past and current sales data, orders, andshipments, impacts of marketing and sales, actions of distributors, andother events or demand signals. Incorporates business intelligence andforecast information from various sources to create the consensus demandforecast. Works with business unit leadership to manage/drive theconsensus plan development process and makes decisions on behalf of theteam to edit and approve the consensus plan. Assists in development ofannual plans and reconciles them with monetized demand plans.Communicate any gaps between the plans. Leads the demand planning stepof the S&OP process and may lead S&OP meetings. Contributes throughoutthe S&OP process with suppliers, customers, distribution centeroperations, and other supply chain groups to collaborate on forecasts,promotions, new item launches, and other activities. Developsrelationships, influences, and collaborates with key cross-functionalinternal teams and external partners (such as marketing, sales, finance,product management, customers, other supply chain staff, etc.) to drivedemand planning success and understand the impact of market trends anddemand drivers to create an accurate forecast. Partners across a varietyof teams to minimize excess and obsolete inventory, mitigate out ofstock and supply change disruptions, and address input gaps identifiedby forecasting errors, as well as bias and volatility reviews.Participates in and contributes to special projects and other supplychain and business strategy initiatives.
