The Planning department plays a critical role in the journey to transform the overall Supply Chain into a competitive advantage.
Job Description
The Opportunity:
Together with the Associate Manager, Demand Planning and Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for driving the monthly S&OP process for Amazon Europe, with the right Demand Plan in a timely manner as an output. You will submit the signed off Demand into the system on a monthly basis and through the right demand, supply and inventory, manage the business’ revenue, profit and cash.
What Your Impact Will Be:
Prepare and run the local S&OP process with the Sales & Marketing teams following the monthly cadencePrepare and execute the monthly Demand Submission in line with the signed-off forecastBe the primary point of contact for Sales & Marketing with regards to Planning and ForecastingSynchronize commercial plans with demand plansProactively identifying constraints and challenges and developing solutions to mitigate impacts all the while keeping internal customers clearly informed of developmentsWork with Sales and Marketing to fully understand Sales Forecast, risks and opportunitiesProvide and analyse monthly metrics reporting on forecast changes, rejections, forecast accuracy, biasManage Inventory (Levels and health), and align coverage with with business targetsDevelop reporting tools to improve the planning processes and support business decisionsMaximize customer fill rates and minimize Excess Inventory riskMeet deadlines based on global and regional calendarsProactively identifying constraints and challenges and developing solutions to mitigate impacts all the while keeping internal customers clearly informed of developments Qualifications What We’re Looking For:
2+ years in a supply chain planning roleDegree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply-Chain or LogisticsFluent in English, additional languages would be beneficialConfident and skilled communicator both verbally and written, including meeting facilitation and presentationsAbility to influence and achieve expected results independently by establishing effective cross-functional & cross-culture relationshipsHigh level of organizational and time management skills.Advanced proficiency with Excel, Power-pointKnowledge of JDA (Blue Yonder), AS400 and/or Cognos would be a plusExceptional problem solving & analytical abilityAbility to perform in a demanding ,dynamic, highly visible organisationDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically with other cultures and people Special certification or technical skills:
