The Kimberly-Clark Demand Planning Team is responsible for all forecasting activities. As a part of this team, the Demand Planner is responsible for building a rolling 2-year forecast through collaboration with planning, finance, marketing, sales and driving improvement to the forecast.
The Demand Planner is responsible for supporting the creation of volume forecasts (brand/category and Sku/Week) to be delivered to Operations, through statistical generation & analysis in collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and Finance. This position also manages the demand of new business, new product launch and promotional planning process to drive forecast consensus within the division and supports the monthly S&OP cycle, the weekly S&OE, and especially the Demand Review. The role supports the process for portfolio complexity control, financial trend versus demand plan reconciliation and offers support for service level protection through safety stock review in collaboration with Supply Planning.

Key Accountabilities:
Coordinate the monthly collaborative Demand Planning process, including input into the Demand Review and manage weekly update of the demand plan. Conduct contingency planning and utilize as part of the monthly planning cycle. Build a consistent baseline forecast using modelling, sell-in and/or sell-out history analysis and the input of Marketing and Sales, customer information Research and provide analysis on SKU and customer level projections to achieve forecast accuracy objectives. Organize and present data for analytical purposes and provide historical data Prepare and support analysis of new product launches and promotions to determine risks & opportunities Along with Supply Planning, support new/large business prospects in order to validate risks & opportunities to supporting the new demand. Prepare quantification of new product introductions utilizing historical data for both internal and competitive launches, planned marketing support and key account sales plans; then validate risks & opportunities. Analyze Distribution Channel or Customer account specific trends to determine risks & opportunities by account Articulate the demand plans on different business scenarios as needed Measure variances to projections and communicate monthly within S&OP process Provide consistent analysis of the forecast accuracy (FA% and Bias%) including root cause and performance problem solving Report and review KPI: Forecast Accuracy% (FA%), Bias%, Sku Count, Last 1% Sku%, Demand Planning Excellence Maturity Score Support preparation of ABP, SBP/SC GTM strategies for the plan to Supply Chain, Business and Financial community Support Continuous Improvement and participate in cross functional project teams, develop best in class forecasting modules for the business units Provide Continuous Improvement of Demand Planning system tools that drive the Demand Planning Function to Best in ClassInteract with all Supply Chain teams and Customer Care to achieve KCP service and inventory turnover objectives. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in a Business, Supply Chain, Science, Engineering, or related discipline 3+ years of work experience in Demand or Supply Planning function Strong data analytics and/or statistics knowledge/experienceAbility to leverage factual data to tactfully influence and interface through cross-functional levels in the organization by independently developing & advocating a point of view Self-motivated and strong compliance mindset Strong Simple Problem-Solving skills to evaluate root cause analysisSolid initiative skills to cause continuous improvement in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate Degree Demand & Supply planning, Inventory management, S&OP qualifications (CPIM, CPSM, APICS)Detailed knowledge of Demand Planning systems, structures, and statistical modelling methodsSAP or any similar ERP BW or any other Data warehouse system Excel- intermediate/advanced level Arete, SAP-APO and/or other Forecasting & Data-mining system experience
