  The Global Services Partner Initiatives (GSPI) team within Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented individual to grow our Demand Generation function. AWS, the world's leading cloud provider, offers cutting-edge cloud solutions that benefit companies of all sizes.This role will help connect our Professional Services (ProServe) sellers and our strategic partners to ignite and expand our joint customers' AWS cloud adoption journey. The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and technical background that enables them to successfully build and maintain relationships, advise on AWS cloud solutions, grow AWS usage, develop innovative programs, and expand platform adoption to new business units. A successful candidate will work with customers, partners, Account Managers and internal teams.This is a role with tremendous growth opportunities. AWS offers an innovative environment where an eager candidate can advance through sales on a learning and earning path.Key job responsibilitiesAs a Demand Generation Specialist, you will have the exciting opportunity to help prospects and customers make the transformational move to AWS. Your primary responsibilities will include using intelligent prospecting persistence to identify, create and qualify opportunities, then work with partner sales to ensure the opportunity is understood and next steps are clearly defined. Once qualified, you will use an opportunity management processes to ensure that opportunities are handed off to appropriate sales resources in a timely, customer friendly manner.Demand Gen is a critical function within the lead and demand generation process, with its mission to profile, nurture and qualify leads generated from various events, campaigns and activitiesYou will also:-Build a stronger AWS ProServe + Partner leads database by researching existing AWS leads to create a detailed view of the customer's need for cloud technology and the sales opportunity.-Nurture leads with information/campaigns to increase their understanding of AWS services and/or our partners and unique differentiators with relevant customer use cases.-Move leads from warm or little interest to active interest; education to consideration.-Through nurture efforts, create higher value leads resulting in higher conversion rates.-Work closely with stakeholders to achieve campaign goals.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Arlington, VA, USA | Chicago, IL, USA | Herndon, VA, USA | Seattle, WA, USA-2+years of technology related sales, business development or experience in project management in sales / marketing environment-Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines and budgets-Proficiency using CRM software (Salesforce.com or other) and Outlook-Foundational knowledge and understanding of existing and developing technologies as it relates to cloud computing: understand and identify opportunities for customers and partners-BA/BS degree or relevant experience-Advanced Salesforce.com experience including the development of dashboards and reports-Record of success in an outbound sales or prospecting role in B2B environments, preferably in a solution-sales/ technology-related environment-Experience working with Independent Software Vendors and/or Consulting Partners to build end-customer solutions-Experience navigating prospective accounts from and into a senior executive level to identify new customer opportunities in a focused market space-Skilled in prospecting techniquesOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.
