About Your Opportunity:
The Defence Business Manager partners with the Defence Operating Unit Director to deliver financial and commercial acumen to the growing and exciting contract portfolio. The role is directly responsible for Finance and Project Controls employees in the provision of these services, as well as task managing the Defence Operating Unit personnel from the Contracts and Supply Chain functions.
The successful candidate will drive a collaborative culture that enhances the performance of the customer portfolio, along with improving employee engagement with a commitment to quality, compliance and internal control.

Your Responsibilities: Accountable for the business planning and forecasting of the Defence Operating Unit, providing accurate input and insight for all Keyline's (Awards, Sales, Operating Margin and Cash) during monthly forecasting, AOP and LRSP planning cyclesOn behalf of the Operating Unit Director, proactively monitor and drive performance for the P&L of the Operating Unit and demonstrate full ownership of each projects Balance Sheet with the Account Leads / Programme Managers.Provide timely and accurate reporting of actuals against plan for all contracts within the portfolio, providing the Operating Unit Director and Account Leads with insightful analysis that drives performanceActively manage contract change and risks, ensuring that only contracted activities are conducted and that all contract reporting is reflective of the latest statusMaximise Northrop Grumman Cash performance through timely contract invoicing, working with all required stakeholders to ensure effective processing and payment. Your Experience: Degree educated or equivalent experience in a business field (business administration / finance / legal etc)Experience with a contractor on UK Government contractsExperience of large Bid and Proposal effortsWorking understanding of Scheduling, EVM and relevant toolsPeople management and development, growing talented individuals into a high-performing team Your Future Team:
