The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of some 3,000 employees worldwide. Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm's books and records, and by contributing to firm wide risk management and risk reduction. This division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanley's various industry and government regulators, and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community.
Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanley's various businesses and its senior management team. Our employees support numerous activities such as Product Controllership, Profit & Loss (P&L) analysis, Regulatory Reporting, Digitization, Business Management, Capital Requirements and Sourcing / Vendor Management.

Team Profile:
The group is responsible for leading the Basel standards implementation and RWA infrastructure transformation, working closely with Finance, Technology, Capital Planning, Risk and the business unit to deliver the critical Basel 3 Endgame regulatory initiative.
Basel III Endgame (B3E) is the latest update to global capital standards and a significant change to the current US risk-based capital framework.
US regulators have proposed July 2025 for compliance with the new requirementsBanks have approximately two years to interpret the new rules, assess their impact, address new data and tech needs, and adjust business strategies.B3E is a chance to modernize capital infrastructure: updating tech, becoming more agile and addressing inefficiencies to lower operating costs.
What you'll do in the role:
This role will reside within Institutional Securities Finance in the Market Risk Controllers (MRC) group. MRC is a global team with representation in Glasgow, New York, London, Budapest and Tokyo. Key clients include the Market and Credit Risk departments, business divisions and regulatory controllers. The two essential functions of the group are Backtesting and Banking/Trading indicator review. The team also plays a pivotal role in ensuring ongoing compliance with the Basel covered position rules across various jurisdictions.

QUALIFICATIONS
What you'll bring to the role:
4+ years of work experience in Regulatory Reporting risk and controlsPrior experience within a market or credit regulatory or Product Control/ P&L attribution roleAwareness of market risk regulatory framework such as Basel /Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB)Knowledge of financial markets and productsEffective communication and analytical skills, including the ability to influence senior clientsExperience leading, developing and motivating team membersHigh level of organizational skills and time management

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $135,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
