MS Investment Management Technology (IMIT)
Morgan Stanley Investment Management Technology exclusively partners with the Morgan Stanley Investment Management business division to design and develop systems and integrate vendor products to globally support full life cycle business processing. Activities include Portfolio Analysis, Risk, Trading, Operations, and Sales & Marketing. Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) Technology also provides holistic support and quality assurance across the suite of applications used in the MSIM environment.
Opportunity
Morgan Stanley is seeking a self-starter, experienced full stack developer to join the Fixed Income Front Office Technology team. The individual will work as part of the global development team to help the team design, develop a modern technology stack to power our digital platforms aimed unlocking efficiencies for our Investment Teams. As a front office developer, the individual will also work closely with the Fixed Income team to solve operational problems and design strategic portfolio optimization solutions for our investment teams. The individual will work directly with Fixed Income portfolio managers and traders to gather requirements and help build a decision support system for them. This platform is a new build out and aims to assist Fixed income PM and traders during order generation. The individual will work with senior team members to design and implement solutions using latest cutting-edge technology.

Your responsibilities will include:
1. Designing and developing modern and modular web applications using modern coding and testing standards.
2. Participating in our agile ceremonies and actively driving towards the team's goals.
3. Working collaboratively with a global team of technologists.
4. Leading with ideas and innovation.
5. Leading communication and partnering with our end users (Fixed Income business) to design solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Competencies:
Candidates with 3 to 5 years of experience developing enterprise applications. Solid experience with MVC Architecture for webapps Solid experience writing unit, component, and integration tests. Experience with React, Java, and Python. Experience working with microservices and distributed systems. Experience working with build tooling. Ability to engage with end users for requirement gathering and run agile ceremonies. Willingness to learn MS Intellectual cloud-based technologies.
Additional Desired Competencies:
Understanding of financial markets and instruments. Experience in financial services. Experience with Fixed Income Portfolio tools and data.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $150,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
