Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC seeks to fill the position of Vice President in New York, NY.
Liaise with business users to understand and review business requirements. Assess the prioritization of data initiatives. Develop SME knowledge around data governance processes and controls. Develop data definitions for prioritized data and conduct data lineage to identify data authorities. Catalogue prioritized data and associated metadata in business approved tool. Conduct control coverage assessment and identify any control gaps. Drive process improvement and implementation of data governance standards across data assets for operational scalability. Project management responsibilities including identifying and scheduling tasks for the team, tracking project timelines and timely escalation of material issues requiring attention. Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to communicate strategy and conduct meetings to socialize data related policies and procedures and collect feedback.
Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $250,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Any), Computer Science, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience as a Vice President, Consultant, Business Analyst, or a related role. Requires five (5) years of experience with: Multi-asset class financial products and services in Capital Markets; Front-to-Back Trade Lifecycle Management; Financial Risks Measures and Scenarios; Data management functions including data analysis, modeling and profiling; data governance principles including data definitions, data authorities, data quality control, data sourcing, and data cataloging; Designing and implementing a risk and control framework; and Financial regulatory regimes.
