Delivery Driver Group Lead for CWDS
Job Overview:
The Delivery Driver Group Lead is responsible for overseeing a team of delivery drivers, ensuring that all deliveries are carried out efficiently, safely, and on time. This role involves coordinating routes, managing schedules, maintaining vehicles, ensuring that the team adheres to all company policies and legal requirements, and hands-on work..
Key Responsibilities:
· Team Leadership and Management
· Supervise a team of delivery drivers, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
· Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
· Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
· Route Planning and Coordination
· Plan and assign delivery routes to ensure maximum efficiency and on-time delivery.
· Monitor delivery status and make real-time adjustments to routes as necessary.
· Coordinate with other departments, such as production, warehousing and customer service, to ensure a seamless delivery process.
· Vehicle Maintenance and Safety Compliance
· Oversee the maintenance and repair of delivery vehicles to ensure they are safe and operational.
· Ensure that all drivers comply with traffic laws and company safety policies.
· Ensure that drivers provide excellent customer service and handle goods with care.
· Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to address any issues or changes in delivery schedules.
· Record Keeping and Reporting
· Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and driver performance.
· Analyze areas for improvement.
· Prepare and present regular reports to management on delivery operations and team performance.
Requirements:
· Must possess valid and up to date Class A CDL
· Strong working knowledge of CWDS product's and process's
· Strong knowledge of traffic laws, route planning, and delivery operations.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to lead and motivate a team.
Working Conditions:
· This role may require working in various weather conditions.
· Flexibility in working hours, including the ability to work weekends, if required.
