Job Description
Intel's Developer Cloud team is seeking a highly motivated hands-on Datacenter Storage Architect! The position requires knowledge and experience in scalable file and object storage, storage security, distributed systems and storage, datacenter design, large datacenter networks, and ethernet switch fabrics is required.
The candidate will work in a multi disciplined team to define datacenter storage architectures at scale for production systems. The candidate will also define and execute architecture concepts, propose metrics and tests to validate concepts, and deploy at scale designs, feeding back data into the next architecture.
The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, has a broad, system-level understanding of data center systems, networking, Linux kernel, I/O technology, use of accelerators in the data center. Knowledge of datacenter efficiency and TCO analysis is also highly desired.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 9+ years of experience -OR- a Master's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 6+ years of experience -OR- a PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 4+ years of experience in:
Large datacenter networksSystem architecture, performance and Networking experience including developing and deploying distributed solutionsStorage performance tools, (FIO)Use and or design of Storage systems and Network Switches and NicsIP networks, RDMA (RoCE), and DPDKLinux architecture (Kernel, user space, and virtualization)C, C++, Python and scriptingTCO analysis in datacenters

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $127,260.00-$203,620.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
