Data scientists are at the crux of deepening our understanding of the customers and driving more business outcomes by leveraging experimentation, causal inference, statistical and machine learning techniques, and data storytelling.
As a Marketing Data Scientist at Asana, you will partner with our Marketing teams across Growth Marketing, Revenue Marketing, Lifecycle Marketing and Marketing Analytics to acquire, engage, and convert Asana users and customers around the globe at different stages in the funnel. You will develop various skills as a full-stack Data Scientist working on projects end-to-end and build deep domain expertise in the intersection of Data Science and Marketing. This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. Along with most Asanas, you’ll work from this office in person on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. What you’ll achieve
Develop and apply marketing measurement capabilities such as Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), Geo-based experimentation and Multi-touch Attribution (MTA) to evaluate the performance of our marketing effort. Build and deploy machine learning and statistical models such as Customer Lifetime Value, Lead Scoring, Segmentation, and time-series forecasting end to end through scoping, researching, prototyping and productising with tools such as Git, Sagemaker and Airflow. Collaborate with Marketing stakeholders, Marketing Analytics, and other cross-functional partners to identify impactful business questions, conduct deep-dive analysis, and communicate findings and actionable recommendations to audiences at all levels to drive data-driven decisions. Collaborate with other Data Scientists in the team to build and improve different marketing measurement capabilities. About you
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, Marketing Science, Engineering, a related quantitative field or equivalent experience. 2+ years of experience in applying data science techniques to drive decision-making or develop technical applications. Fluency in at least one modern language useful for data processing (e.g. Python, Scala). Proficiency with relational data modeling and SQL. Experience in writing production-quality code in Python/Scala and productionizing machine learning applications with tools such as Git, Sagemaker and Airflow. Familiarity with statistical methods including experimental design, regression, causal inference with observational data and time series modelling. Familiarity with one or more of the machine learning methods such as classification, ranking and clustering. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.
For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $171,000 - $258,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
