Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM Subscription and Annuity (S&A) business under Technology Sales delivers essential recurring revenue that funds research and development across IBM, while ensuring that our clients' critical systems are supported.
Our Worldwide S&A team is building a new mission called 'Recovery 2.0' and is looking for talented data scientists to help solve real business problems and to deliver revenue for IBM. With this program, we are radically reinventing how we recapture customers and bring them back onto active Software Subscription & Support [SW Maintenance]
You will be responsible to design and develop the MVP, pulling together various datasets from IBM's backend systems into a dataset that contain recovery opportunities that can then be executed on by our S&A Sellers in their territories, quarterly. You'll be responsible to cleanse the data and store in a datamart. You'll be responsible to work with stakeholders to augment the data such that our teams can productively identify the opportunities that have the highest propensity for success. After the initial MVP the eventual the vision is to run marketing campaigns targeted to the right set of customers from the data and intersect these opportunities into ISC & Partner Portal so they can be further managed and tracked via dashboards, etc.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Bachelor's degree in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent professional experience with a sophisticated data stack
Knowledge of Python, Jupyter Notebooks
Mastery of Excel, SPSS, or other data analysis tools
Proven track record of managing stakeholder expectations
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complicated analyses to non-technical employees and leadership
Strong business acumen with the ability to develop data-driven business recommendations
Work an afternoon / evening shift such that you have overlap with your leadership team that will be based in EMEA and the Americas
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Knowledge of SPSS Modeler
Experience with Trello/Monday.com or other workflow technologies and/or RPA or other robotic process tools.
Experience working with an international team [either in person or virtual]
Knowledge of IBM's Pricing, Passport Advantage, S&S Renewals, Sales and/or Licensing Metric/Compliance Process
Experience with IBM pricing and entitlement tools [EG. SQO, DSW/FastPass]
