Job Description:
This job is responsible for driving accurate, complete, and timely delivery of data. Key responsibilities include working with business stakeholders and technology teams to direct commercial banking data management activities and ensure availability for use by appropriate consumers. Job expectations include managing execution within the enterprise data management standards, data quality, and control practices.
The Data Manager will be part of the ECATS Data Management Governance team which is responsible for managing adoption of and adherence to data management polices and standards, active engagement / support of internal / external regulatory and audit exams and issues, governance of data incidents, execution of Data Quality and Data Testing programs and defining and driving a data strategy. The team has responsibilities related to the governance of credit data; communicating and coordinating the impacts of enterprise data priorities; and monitoring the health of Global Banking data.
Responsibilities:
• Works with Line of Business partners, including Compliance, Audit, and Risk to understand needs and produce data solutions, often in partnership with Technology
• Identifies gaps in data management standards adherence and works with appropriate partners to develop plans for resolution, including recommendations so that relevant risk and compliance policies and standards are met
• Analyzes emerging needs for data to address risk, regulatory, or business enablement priorities and appropriately plans for interim and target state solutions within data management policies
• Monitors key performance indicators and internal controls in accordance with established thresholds, standards, and policies
• Overall management and strategy of a Data Quality Program. This program includes development and execution of data quality rules (completeness, validity, and reasonableness) against data residing in various Enterprise Credit owned ADSs; the creation of dashboards and reporting to monitor program progress; presentation to key governance forums; and the ability to automate and drive efficiencies in the process.
• This role and supporting team, partner with key stakeholders to perform root cause analysis and drive remediation efforts.
• Close working partnerships with technology teams, internal teams as well as data providers and data consumers to understand the data and create appropriate rules as well as to understand usage of data to help drive internal prioritization of work. Other support partners include FLU/CF business Data Management teams, Global Banking Operations/Credit Process teams, Enterprise Data Strategy and Governance, Global Compliance Risk, Audit, etc.

Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years Data Management experience
• Strong project management/process design skills
• Highly motivated, proactive and a self-starter; strong sense of ownership ability to create and execute plans without daily oversight
• Ability to work across multiple teams and manage multiple priorities
• Hands-on, applied experience with Enterprise Data Management Policy/Standards
• Highly organized; able to effectively prioritize and balance multiple efforts in a fast-paced, regulatory driven environment; detail oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to simplify and summarize complex topics. Comfortable leading presentations.
• Ability to lead and influence stakeholders across multiple levels and organizations.
• Ability to enforce difficult policy decisions, even when uncomfortable
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint)
Desired Qualifications:
• Knowledge of credit products and processes
• Ability to decompose complex issues and drive timely decisions, knowing when to engage others for additional input, and when to act independently
