Overview
The Data Management Governance Product Analyst will manage organization-wide data management and governance activities and will be responsible for improving the data management components, including Data Standards, Quality, Metadata, Governance, Mater Data, and protecting sensitive data and information assets. You will focus on establishing and ensuring adherence to an enterprise data governance framework for data policies, standards, and practices at the department and Business and Functional areas level to achieve the required consistency, quality, and protection to meet overall business needs.
The Governance Product Analyst will support the Organization's Metadata program objectives as well as those of the Data Management organization.
Responsibilities
Provide thought leadership, frameworks, best practices, and subject matter expertise in Collibra required to deliver effective Data Governance and Management solutions.Operate as a metadata evangelist across the enterprise, guiding and directing various data management activities focused on growing the metadata management maturity level within the companyCollaborate with business partners, data management stakeholders, and the IT departments to identify and document core data elements, including metadata, lineage, and business rules for in-scope systems.Develop and maintain inventory of the enterprise data maps, including authoritative systems and respective owners.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data-related best practices, standards, metrics, and controls to ensure data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and integrity.Partner with federated data management stakeholders to identify domains and sub-domains of data and identify data stewards and technical data stewards where they have not been operationalized alreadyIdentify approaches and work with federated data management teams to identify critical data assets for the company to prioritize data management implementationsEnable compliance with enterprise data policies, standards, and guidelinesEnsure robust data asset management is established and maintained in a dynamic and easy-to-consume manner in partnership with data, technology, and security teamsWork closely with fellow engineering, architecture, and business leadership to define our product vision and strategy for data governance, observability, and privacy.Conduct data discovery to identify and capture the lifecycle of a data asset as well as source-to-target data mapping for assigned data assets.Lead discovery and recording of business metadata, as well as ensure that the metadata remains up to date for assigned data assets. Work closely with IT to ensure technical metadata is recorded and updated in a data dictionary.Facilitate the establishment of data governance committees or steering groups to oversee data governance initiatives and ensure compliance.Remote eligible.The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally $79,600 to $138,000 per year. Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Systems Support, or Analytics, or Operations Support OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Systems Support, or Analytics, or Operations SupportCollibra Ranger or Solution Architect certificationBachelor's Degree and 10+ years of data management experienceIn-depth knowledge of data governance and data management concepts, approaches, and tools and the role of data governance in the successful implementation of data strategy.Advanced analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines.Strong written/oral communication and presentation skills Ability to explain the value of Collibra and data governance to business and technical stakeholders.Ability to analyze complex environments, distill concepts, and present to clients.Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environmentExcellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills required and the ability to analyze and make effective, business-centric recommendations to business leaders and senior management.Knowledge of data related to government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues
