As a Data Ingestion Engineer, your main responsibilities include developing, managing, and monitoring data pipelines and ensuring the smooth execution and scalability of the data integration service for our customers.
In this role, you will actively contribute to strategic programs and projects aimed at driving Siemens towards becoming a data-driven company.
This position requires expertise in data architecture & data modelling frameworks, a DataOps mindset to enable scalable data product delivery and a data first mindset. You make other data teams shine! The work will cover an active collaboration and co-creation with different data teams around the globe focusing on topics such as data ingestion, best practices, solution designs, reusable patterns.

You are part of an international data analytics team with diverse backgrounds, utilizing state-of-art data analytics methods to accelerate Siemens internal digitalization.
You interact regularly with other data teams across Siemens as a consultant, enabler, and mentor.
You drive pragmatic approaches to solve complex business problems leveraging your data expertise.
You design and implement ready-for-production DataOps methods and pipelines improving the way data teams develop, test, and deploy data products. You keep abreast of new products and product improvements and constantly work on innovating and improving our modern data stack.
You create visibility for the team’s activity and products, communicate successes and business value generated by applying modern data architecture and modelling frameworks.
You understand cloud-native technologies and platforms.
You focus your expertise on reusing and automation.
You leverage collaborative data development tools that let data teams work more effectively.
Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data.
Use your skills to move the world forward.
University Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
Data Integration and Data Ingestion expertise.
Proficient programming skills in SAP ABAP (expert skills a plus but not required).
Knowledge on how to monitor an SAP system.
SAP SLT knowledge as a plus.
Working with major Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and associated warehouses and tools (Snowflake, DBT) as a plus.
Very good English skills.
