The role
We are looking for a Data Governance Manager to join our dynamic Information Security team. You'll be the architect of security policies, the enforcer of controls, and the mastermind behind best practices that ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our prized assets. Where you'll work
This is a hybrid role in Austin, TX and requires in-office collaboration 2 times per week.
What you'll be doing
Ensure that the expected value of data management, as well as function and business needs, is met by protecting data, ensuring compliance, and promoting its usage.Standardize data, maintain the technical infrastructure supporting data, and improve data quality and data security.Empower a culture change that encourages a value-driven approach to data sharing and data usage at the company.Manage escalation process as needed to resolve blocking points and data usage conflictsCoordinate the design and implementation of big data architecture and Business Intelligence (BI) capabilities.
What you'll need
7+ years of experience in information security or related roles, with at least 3-5 years managing large-scale data projects.Experience with risk data architecture and technology solutions.Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
