  KPMG is currently seeking a Data Governance Director to join our National Audit Technology organization.

  Responsibilities:Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance program to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance; establish data governance strategies, policies, and frameworks aligned with organizational goals and industry best practicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams and executive leadership to define data governance objectives and priorities; lead the syndication and implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, and proceduresPartner with Technology First and Second lines of defense on Data Risk Management Measure the adoption of data governance policies and business value of data quality improvement; conduct data quality assessments and implement measures to improve data accuracy, completeness, and consistency for business-critical dataStay up to date with data privacy regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations; develop and deliver data governance training and awareness programs; lead data governance and stewardship committees - facilitate discussions on data-related initiativesIdentify and lead teams to perform root cause analysis of data governance and data quality issues; make remediation business cases and improvement plans; work with business and technology teams to implement data governance tools and technologiesQualifications:Minimum ten years of recent experience as a Data Governance Director or similar leadership role in a large-scale, complex organization Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, computer science, information management, or a related field is preferred; Master's degree from an accredited college or university is highly preferredSix Sigma, Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC), Total Quality Management (TQM) or similar continuous improvement experience preferredProven experience in developing and implementing comprehensive data governance programsExceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the aptitude to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levelsDemonstrated capability to lead and manage cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and achieving high-performance outcomes; demonstrated ability to lead and manage change initiatives while driving organizational transformationApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Depending on job classification, standard work hours, and years of service, KPMG provides Personal Time Off per fiscal year. Additionally, each year the firm publishes a calendar of holidays to be observed during the year and provides two firmwide breaks each year where employees will not be required to use Personal Time Off; one is at year end and the other is around the July 4th holiday.
