  What you will be doing

  The Data Governance Analyst is a key role within the Global Pharma Services team which is responsible for establishing policies and procedures, implementing tools and techniques, providing training and support, conducting data quality audits, developing data validation procedures, analysis of data and trends, providing data steward help and guidance, and ensuring overall data governance for GPS users. The primary focus of the position will be assisting with the continued growth, maturity, and sponsorship of the GPS data governance program.

  Documents data standards, rules, process flows, and valid values for all in-scope data fields.Manages change requests, documents changes, and communicates changes to all in-scope teams, divisions, and interested parties.Develops, reviews, supports, and conducts training classes relating to data governance.Designs, develops, implements, manages, and has ownership of standards/templates of departmental technical tools.Defines, develops, and maintains data security access standards and control to fulfill audit requirements.Monitors data cleansing projects in preparation for final data conversions.Conducts data quality audits and initiates corrective actions to ensure data quality in a post-go-live environment.Answers end-user questions and aids end-users in creating and changing governed data.Ensure sufficient key data elements are in place to support quality audits.Originates and assists with all data-related training requirements.Proactively advises the data stewards and users of potential improvements in the systems processes to improve efficiency and good governance.

  What your background should look like

  Requires training in fields such as business administration, data management, accountancy, computer sciences, or similar vocations obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education.Normally requires a minimum of four (4) years of related and progressively responsible experience with one (1) to three (3) years of experience in distribution.Knowledge and practical experience of Data Governance practices, concepts, policies, and frameworks is required.A solid understanding of the integration aspects of various systems and terminology; and in-depth knowledge of data and information governance methodologies are required skills in this role.Additionally, experience and understanding of Cencora's service lines and the types of services/products created, including business-specific functional roles is desired.A successful history of cross-functional team projects is desired.Experience with a Data Governance tool like Informatica (Axon/EDC/IDQ) is a plus.Experience working in an Agile and/or Scaled Agile framework is a plus.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; interacts with all levels of associates and management within the organization.Demonstrated ability to influence and foster collaborative relationships with the ability to engage resources outside of direct control to gain consensus, meet deadlines, and achieve goals and objectives.Thorough knowledge and understanding of business principles, processes, and technology.Ability to multi-task while demonstrating strong analytical, and problem-solving skills.High energy with a positive outlook and can-do attitude.Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and guidance.Solid teamwork and people skills with strong presentation skills.A solid base of knowledge of Excel and Visio is a plus.
