Job Description
As an integral part of Intel's new IDM2.0 strategy, we are establishing Intel Foundry Services (IFS), a fully vertical, standalone foundry business, reporting directly to the CEO. IFS will be a world-class foundry business and major provider of US and European-based capacity to serve customers globally. Intel Foundry Services will be differentiated from other Foundry offerings with a combination of leading-edge packaging and process technology, committed capacity in the US and Europe.
As a Data Engineering intern, you will build foundational components of IFS data architecture, innovating new workflows and contributing to the strategy and evolution of future analytics solutions. You will work across different systems and tools to model new data sources and create a foundation for centralized, self-service analytics. You will collaborate with internal partners and communicate results and impact to our stakeholders. We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in query languages, data modeling, programming, and the ability to grasp our organization's technical foundations quickly while owning and delivering impactful results in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be pursuing a master's degree in computer science, data science, information technology, or related STEM field.
Demonstrated experience or knowledge in advanced SQL and Python
Strong foundation in data modeling strategy (using query languages to define optimized relationships between disparate tables and data sources)
Familiarity with Linux fundamentals
Foundational understanding of
o Data architecture frameworks
o ETL processes
o Emerging technologies such as cloud computing, generative artificial intelligence, and data virtualization.
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic experience or familiarity with JavaScript, React, and Denodo as a data virtualization layer
Experience creating data models in Looker

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado, New York, Washington, California: $63,000.00-$166,000.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
Working Model
This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
