Responsibilities:
Build, maintain and optimize data modeling and data mining processes including cloud data ingestion, outflow & enrichment workflows.
Build and maintain data processing workflows feeding our analytics systems.
Optimize data pipelines from various systems.
Develop set processes such as user engagement, user segmentation, content usage analysis feeding our analytics systems.
Facilitate reliable integrations with internal systems and third-party APIs.
Implement proper personal identifiable information (PII) compliance across the data ecosystem.
Provide continued development support for existing analytics applications and platforms.
Spot anomalies and ensure clean data on all systems.
Ensure all work products follow company defined principles of data governance.
Support data catalog activity
Required Background & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
4-6+ years' experience in data engineering and related fields.
Proficient in SQL and cloud database management, experience with Redshift, Snowflake, Athena preferred.
Working experience with AWS, familiar with IAM credentialing, S3, Lambda, SQS, Step Function and EC2.
3+ years of Data Warehouse experience having demonstrated strength in SQL, ETL development, data modeling and warehousing.
Desired Skills:
Strong skills in querying languages like T-SQL and relational databases is required
Ability to grasp business requirements and proactively identify data-driven solutions
Knowledge of tools like Tableau/PowerBI and Alteryx/MSBI
Media industry experience.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex technology solutions to senior leadership, gain alignment, and drive progress.
