Job Description
Join SATG as a Data Center Manager! The Data Center Manager is responsible as room owner / manager for all daily Information Technology Operations activities within and affecting the data center, including:
Operational standards, all compute devices, infrastructure components (power, cooling, space, security), operations support, physical touch and hands on work, and compliance to Information Security policy and safety procedures.Manage and monitor fit-up budgets and expenses within their respected data centers and provide supervision for local project work.Provide equipment accountability and coordination of data center equipment installations, movement and removal.Provide interface support for customers, stakeholders and vendors.Conduct regular auditing for security compliance, participate in business continuity planning and drills.Provide on call support and leadership for change control, incident management, and any follow up as necessary.Problem management skills should be exhibited, seeking root causes based on outage or incident data.Take responsibility for the ongoing support, maintenance, performance and uptime of the data center facilities.Manage data center performance to agreed upon Service and/or Operational Level Agreements (SLAs / OLAs).Maintain current data center drawings, signage, security access controls, capacity and facility audits, assessments and system of record updates.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or other Engineering related field and 3+ years of experience -OR- a Master's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or other Engineering related field and 2+ years of experience -OR- a PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or other Engineering related field and experience in:
Data Center OperationsData Center infrastructureData Center Capacity planningPower/CoolingRacking/stacking of serversCable management

Preferred Qualifications
Linux and/or windows compute infrastructure; network infrastructure; ITIL practicesData center operations, electrical and mechanical infrastructure, use Data Center Management Systems (DCMS), EXCEL, VISIO, ISMP, and other tools related to DC management

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
