KPMG is currently seeking a Data Center, Lead Engineer I to join our Digital Nexus Technology organization.
Responsibilities:
Manage the daily operations of the data center, including server hardware, network infrastructure, and data center security
Ensure the availability and reliability of all data center systems and services
Develop and maintain data center policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices
Monitor and analyze data center performance metrics to plan for future requirements, identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of data center systems with other enterprise systems
Maintain DC hardware asset lifecycle processes including HD & Media destruction
Qualifications:
Minimum five years of recent experience in data center management, with a focus on data center planning, hardware installations, network infrastructure, and data center security
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
ServiceNow AMDB, Inventory Management as well as Incident & Change Management
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for data center management, including ITIL, ISO 27001, and NIST; experience with Cloud & Virtualization technologies, such as Azure, VMware or Hyper-V, is a plus
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical network and infrastructure cabling issues; experience in the following is preferred: Sunbird dcTRACK and PowerIQ administration; Raritan Command Center KVM/Console infrastructure and administration;
Solid communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with other IT teams and stakeholders; strong leadership and management skills; able to mentor teammates, assist team with knowledge transfer & coaching; good working knowledge of MS Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel
Experienced mechanical competency, working on delicate computer equipment; ability to lift and install heavy computer equipment; ability to work onsite five days/week
