The Manager - D&A supports the delivery of highly sophisticated data and analytics solutions. This role requires an outstanding blend of analytical skills, focus and flexibility, creative attitude, and partner management abilities. The selected candidate will regularly get along with senior team members, necessitating high levels of personal and professional integrity and effective social skills.
Functional Responsibilities:
Lead the assessment of the current state of a process that requires an analytics solution.Lead the documentation business and technical requirements for analytics solutions.Support the creation of highly sophisticated analytics solutions to support key business decisions, ensuring quality and accuracy of deliverables Translate business requirements into an optimal analytics solution including communicating practical recommendations and tool selection.Understand bugs in highly complex analytics solutions and provide efficient solutions to stakeholders.Provide BI advisory/consultancy/training to team members and business partners.Summarize complex data insights in a digestible and useful format for various audiences. Participate in discussions with senior stakeholders on large scale projects/deployments. Feed a culture of innovation, driving creative problem-solving to address business challenges and improve operational efficiency.Scope / Supervision and InteractionMakes decisions for level of responsibility, raises concerns to the level of management and keeps management advised of activities.Relies on management for key decision making.Improve relationships and networks with business stakeholders who are not familiar with the subject matter often requiring persuasion.Adapts communication style to differing audiences.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in extracting, redefining, loading and visualizing data. Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics or another quantitative/technology field Post-graduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics or another quantitative/technology field, is a plus.Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) High proficiency in Power BI and its end-to-end solution, including integration with other database reporting tools, data sources, and data visualization. Solid understanding of data analysis techniques and methodologiesProficiency in Alteryx is a plus.Familiarity with cloud-based analytics tools and platforms such as Azure and AWS is a plus.Sophisticated knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate is a plus.Demonstrable experience in scripting languages (e.g., R, Python) is a plus.Proven experience working with relational or multidimensional databases (e.g. SQL, Hyperion) is a plus. Strong analytical, problem solving and creative skills with an ability to exercise good judgment and make timely supportable decisions.Experience leading and governing large data sets and its quality.Tight-knit collaboration and influencing skills.Key Competencies Strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work with large amounts of data.
