We are excited to offer a full-time summer internship for an enthusiastic and talented individual eager to delve into the world of data analytics. Located in the vibrant heart of downtown Seattle, this 12-week program offers a unique opportunity to work on an innovative Data Analysis project with our Data Accelerator Team.
Our project for FY 2024 focuses on extending and enhancing the metrics, coverage, and visualizations of our Data Quality Dashboard. This internship is ideal for those looking to combine their analytical skills with real-world business applications, working alongside a dynamic team of professionals and experienced data analysts.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Data Accelerator Team to extend the Data Quality Dashboard's capabilities.
Engage in data analysis using spreadsheets and Tableau to inform business decisions.
Assist in the development and visualization of key metrics, including data cleaning progress, data transformation activities, and the quality of business metrics.
Work closely with senior data analysts and data management teams to enhance the Data Scorecard for FY 2024.
Contribute to team meetings and project planning sessions, demonstrating the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications:
Must be a current student in the United States pursuing a Bachelors, Masters or PhD degree.
Must be willing to relocate to Seattle for both internship and subsequent fulltime role upon graduation.
Approaching their Junior year (if pursuing a Bachelors) or beyond at the time of the internship (ie. one summer left before graduation). Exceptional Sophomore or Freshmen may be considered.
Available for a 12 week internship between May and September of 2024. We are unable to accommodate internships outside of this time frame.
Required Skills
Understanding of basic descriptive statistics and data distributions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to learn quickly and enthusiasm for tackling complex problems.
Experience with data analysis, particularly with spreadsheets and Tableau a plus.
Familiarity with Python or R programming for data analysis is preferred, but not required.
Awareness and some experience with SQL databases a plus.
