In this role, you will be sitting within the Business Development - Performance Marketing team, and support the BD Manager and the BD Specialist in researching, analysing, identifying, and jointly delivering growth opportunities for Accommodation.
We are looking for a Data Analyst who will drive how data is used in solving business problems within their area. Consulting with business partners in problem-definition, setting success metrics and shaping the way forward through data insights. You will gain a deep understanding of business problems, embrace a customer lens, and tackle problems with timely analytics and translate analytics vision and strategy into execution. You will provide reliable, and usable insights to partners using effective communication methods tailored for your audience.
In this role, you will be directly involved in enabling business improvements by supporting the Performance Marketing teams in defining key metrics and performing various analyses. You will also play a vital role in answering strategic questions and helping to shape how we can better enable our customers to experience the world.
Jointly with the Marketing Manager, you will be creating compelling business cases, and represent Performance Marketing in cross-functional workgroups, to identify and prioritise the right initiatives to achieve the company's goals. The role will require a creative and analytical mindset to solve complex strategic issues for the company.
What you'll be doing Work with Data Science & Analytics, Operational and Commercial teams to define metrics, determine data requirements and implement any needed missing reporting. Work with external partners, like Google, to understand the market landscape and where we sit within, finding and exploring growth opportunities. Support strategic decision making by analysing opportunities as well as helping to structure and provide data insights to answer key strategic questions Promote data driven decision making culture and competence in the business Work closely with team members to ensure data quality. What you'll bring Strong analytical problem solving skills, especially unstructured problems Having strong analytical skills with commercial awareness, and the ability to see opportunities & threats. Delivery of accurate, meaningful and timely information, based on well thought through research. Demonstrable ability to understand and link customer behaviours to business impact. Ability to communicate recommendations in a compelling way that is tailored to the audience. Communicates effectively, collaboratively and challenges constructively to create rapport and establish trust Capable of articulating complex concepts in simple terms to stakeholders Demonstrable experience as a strong sparring partner for complex analytical questions. Knowledge and experience with at least one data analysis language (e.g: R, SQL, Python, etc) Knowledge and experience using data analysis and visualisation tools (e.g: tableau, data studio, powerbi, mixpanel, etc) Awareness of statistical models used within their scope Desirable additional skills/experience 3+ years experience in similar roles. Experience in a global, fast growing business. Experience with large datasets, large scale data management, data visualisation and quality. Good data visualisation skills and storytelling, capable of driving actions from stakeholders. Cross-device analytical experience (Mobile / Desktop / Tablet / App).
