  JOB SUMMARY:

  The Inventory Data Analyst at Polaris plays a pivotal role in shaping the success of our Off Road Vehicle (ORV) SIOP team.

  As a key member, you will spearhead the analysis and execution of strategic initiatives for Off Road Vehicle Raw & finished goods inventory. Your contributions will directly impact ORV retail flow management, enhancing build flexibility, aligning orders with builds, and optimizing order-ship variability to elevate our Service Levels.

  In this dynamic position, you will be dedicated to maximizing returns on finished goods and raw inventory investments. Utilizing advanced analytical toolsets and reports, you will streamline planning efficiency and champion margin improvement through lean initiatives. Collaboration is at the core of this role, as you partner closely with the ORV SIOP, Central Material Planning, Purchasing, Finance, and plant materials teams.

Key responsibilities include ongoing delivery of insightful reporting, ad-hoc and problem-solving analysis, and developing recommendations to optimize business performance.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Finished Goods Inventory Management:

  Partner with SIOP team on FG inventory strategy including service level parameters, YOY guidelines, and operating needs.

  Collaborates Segmentation classification of current Portfolio (“ABC” classification) for finished goods & maintenance in Blue Yonder (BY) software.

  Coordinate monthly finished goods target creation and analysis process during SIOP. Ensure targets fall within monthly SIOP change tolerances and meet Budget goals.

  Manage overall finished goods inventory reporting for ORV team including forecast reporting, inventory health, operational inventory needs, held inventory, aged inventory, and fill rate reporting.

  Raw Inventory Guidance and Strategy:

  Partner with SIOP, Plant materials, and finance teams on raw inventory forecast inputs including flexibility inventory needs to manage variability and achieve Service Levels.

  Manage safety stock raw inventory during the implementation, steady state, and End of Life to achieve required Service Level and minimize Excess/Obsolete.

  Coordinate inventory & cost impact assessments with SIOP teams to drive clarity for Supply increase/decrease/ mix change decisions.

  Manage Segmentation classification for ORV parts and coordination of planning parameter adjustments with Central Planning team. Upkeep BY for safety stock planning.

  Provide key inputs to Raw inventory update reporting to plant, finance, and SIOP teams

  Key player in Excess/Obsolete reviews with Central Planning, site Materials, Finance, Purchasing, Engineering, and GBU

  Build flexibility Support for Service Level Performance:

  Coordinate ORV Portfolio Segmentation with cross functional product portfolio team

  Run quarterly safety stock analysis for ORV team, working with Demand, Ship Execution, and RFM teams on desired flexibility levels and Central planning to execute. Perform monthly audits to ensure anticipated flexibility is available.

  Develop and maintain process to identify obsolescence risk information to be used in the SIOP process for manufacturing flexibility and inventory hedging

  Blue Yonder (BY) Segmentation and Inventory Optimization Administrator and Support.

  Systems and Process Improvements:

  Serve as ORV SIOP lead to improve and enhance reporting, BY, and BI toolsets

  Enhance designed Raw inventory reporting tools to enable plant vs. GBU level reporting

  Complete or assist with other miscellaneous projects as assigned

  EDUCATION, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, data analytics, Mathematics, or equivalent quantitative discipline.

  2+ years of professional working experience in analytics or related area of focus

  Ability to develop clear understanding of how the business operates so that analytical results can be framed in a business context

  Proven business partnership connecting business questions with technical skills needed to address them

  Ability to work successfully within a team, cross-functionally and independently

  Knowledge of MRP systems

  Strong Excel skills especially working with pivot tables (Power Pivot a plus), statistical, and financial analysis

  Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast paced environment

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Experience in Alteryx

  Power BI

  Blue Yonder (BY) or other inventory optimization software experience

  WORKING CONDITONS

  Corporate headquarters office location with hybrid option (3 days in office)

  Minimal travel
