The Role
As a Data Analyst II, you will analyze and interpret data visually for stakeholders to review via a number of tools. The Data Analyst II manages, collects, and records data on a variety of information, utilizes technical skills to ensure the quality and accuracy of data retrieved, and presents it in easily digestible ways for stakeholders to make decisions. Ultimately, a Data Analyst uses data sets to find ways to solve problems for the business.
Where you'll work
This is a hybrid role in Austin, TX and requires in-office collaboration 2 times per week.
What you'll be doing
Leads efforts to identify business intelligence, reporting, and data analysis needs of the organization.Actively interprets and analyzes data using various techniques and ongoing reporting across multiple functions of the business (Marketing, Sales, Product, etc).Creates comprehensive and useful analyses using various techniques and visualizations to convey information to internal and external stakeholders.Understands best practices of analytical techniques, engages in organized information gathering, understands cross-functional requirements, and is able to present findings to all levels of management.Performs intermediate-level data analyses on both quantitative and qualitative data relevant to the business's needs, policies and practices.Executes stakeholder requests with an attention to detail. Serves as analytics point of contact for various teams at Shiftkey.Able to provide advice, guidance, and direction other analyst as well as business stakeholders.
What you'll need
Typically 4+ years as a data analyst or a combination of education/experience in a related role.In-depth experience with data report building.In-depth experience with reading and writing SQL.In-depth experience with Snowflake or other data warehousing tools.In-depth experience with data visualization and/or Business Intelligence tools (Looker, HEX, etc.).Experience working with product teams to recommend and analyze a/b testing and experimentation
processes.Working knowledge of a data build tool like dbt or other data automation tools.Demonstrated ability to participate in peer reviews and assure quality across the data organization.Creatively and professionally solve problems and prioritize initiatives.Proven ability to own stakeholder relationships, gather requirements, and present findings.
