Data Analyst Responsibilities:
Promote trusted commerce and protect intellectual property rights by preventing the sale or promotion of counterfeit goods on Instagram.
Collect data and perform analysis on existing datasets to make integrity-based business decisions using information from Instagram accounts to identify suspected counterfeiters on Instagram platforms.
Perform data analysis to improve Meta’s detection of IP violations and establish key metrics to determine how well these efforts are trending.
Look for trends to inform Meta’s long-term strategy on counterfeit problem areas.
Serve as a data expert leveraging analytical and technical skills to successfully support Digital Rights Integrity problems, operational needs, product support and growth, and tools development.
Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive Digital Rights Integrity solutions.
Mine data and execute quantitative analyses of data and trends to proactively deliver insights, define goals, and drive improvements.
Establish short and long-term goals that will advance the organization’s productivity through analytics.
Effectively plan and collaborate with team members on data driven projects to improve internal tools, systems, and data pipelines.
Demonstrate strong problem solving skills, solve exploratory analytical problems, and contribute to Facebook core code.
Use signals from incoming reports of alleged legal rights infringements to identify opportunities for new insights and trends that may impact business decisions, short- and long-term growth, resource allocation and workforce strategy, investment in product support, and optimization of tools and systems.
Work with and mentor other technical individuals to develop and deploy internal solutions (custom front-end and/or back-end services) that support and/or automate business processes.
Build a solid foundation and knowledge in Digital Rights policies to be able to effectively advocate for Digital Rights Integrity needs with key stakeholders (e.g.
Product, Engineering, Legal, and other cross-functional teams).
Partner with Data Science, Legal, Product, Engineering, and Operations to manage multiple complex projects and solve problems at scale.

Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field and 24 months of work experience in job offered or in a data science-related occupation. Experience must include 24 months involving the following:
Using data mining, business intelligence, Hadoop/ Hive, SQL, and Excel to drive efficient analytics and reporting
Identifying actionable insights, suggesting recommendations, and influencing the direction of Online Operations by effectively communicating results to cross-functional groups, including Online Ops leadership
Leveraging data mathematical principles to provide insights about user behavior, informing business decisions, and solving large scale data infrastructure problems
Predicting and understanding user patterns through metric analysis
Working cross-functionally to define problem statements, collecting data, building analytical models, and making recommendations
Solving problems and identifying trends and opportunities
Building and analyzing dashboards, reports, and key data sets to empower operations and exploratory analysts
Automating analyses and authoring data pipelines via SQL and Python base ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) framework
Designing hypothesis testing experiments, analyzing data collected, and presenting results
Completing root cause analysis of different workflows in order to quantify problems, operationalize goals, and identify priorities.
