Job Description
BAE Systems, Inc is seeking an experienced Data Analyst for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) Contract. DTRA is a Defense Agency providing operational and technical support to prevent nuclear proliferation and nuclear terrorism; maintain strategic stability at reduced nuclear force levels; and sustain a safe, secure, and effective nuclear arsenal. The DTRA A&AS Contract supports DTRA's Nuclear Enterprise (NE) Directorate and provides administrative and technical support to enable the DTRA NE Directorate to research, plan, design, develop, implement, integrate, test, apply, and evaluate emerging and mature technologies to DTRA customers. This support requires close coordination and integration across the NE organization, and close ties across DTRA at all levels (Division to Directorate), and with external stakeholders and partners in order to effectively and efficiently execute requirements, as appropriate. This contract therefore requires dedicated and unbiased A&AS Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) who shall serve as DTRA's "trusted agent," both internally and externally, in support of the NE Directorate.
The Data Analyst SME position specifically supports the Mission Assurance (NE-MA) Department within NE in their mission of conducting DoD vulnerability and survivability assessments for their customers, such as the Office of the Secretary of Defense, The Joint Staff, Combatant Commanders, Military Services, and other Department of Defense (DoD) components. NE-MA assesses mission survivability of U.S. and allied systems against a broad spectrum of threats, focusing on critical national mission systems. Their Red Team Program emulates foreign intelligence service and terrorist organization capabilities in order to assess mission vulnerabilities of selected national assets.
The Data Analyst SME will work a high-visibility mission-critical function and be responsible for:Assisting the Department in conducting strategic analysis of internal and external assessment data for DoD critical missions to identify systemic vulnerabilities based on a broad array of threats to DoD installations, sites, critical infrastructure, and assetsCollecting, analyzing, correlating, and interpreting data using quantitative and qualitative methods; presenting data to the Department for the purpose of highlighting trendsUsing integrated relational computer systems to create and access database files and preparing charts, graphs, and exhibitsConducting comprehensive research projects, including assisting with programs evaluation studies and other administrative studies as assignedCompiling, updating, and managing all-program data and producing the Department's annual reportConducting special projects and presenting unbiased data based solely on trend and statistical informationEffectively communicating to senior leadership through briefings, written/verbal correspondence, and other means as necessary, that can be understood at multiple levels#DTRA05
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or Business.Minimum of 15 years of experience conducting qualitative analyses large data sets, and the ability to collaborate across a diverse workforce to achieve objectives.Knowledge - Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness. Applies and/or develops highly advanced concepts, techniques and standards. Viewed as expert in the field outside of the corporation.Problem Solving - Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness. Challenges are unique and solutions serve as precedent for future decisions. Creates formal networks with key decision makers and serves as external spokesperson for the organization.Discretion and Latitude - Often acts independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Work is checked only to the effectiveness of results obtained, typically requiring a long-term perspective. Virtually self-supervisory.Impact - Decisions affect the financial, employee or public relations posture of the organization. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would have a long-term negative effect on the organization's reputation and business posture.Liaison - Serves as consultant to top management in long-range company planning or spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs. Prime external spokesperson for the organization on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities and long-range goals and objectives.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $131331 - $223309
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
