Cybersecurity and IT Engineers design, configure, and support leading edge technology to ensure Siemens can continue to deliver high quality solutions and services to our customers.
As a Cybersecurity and IT Engineer you will:
Support the Regional Solutions and Services, Americas Region of the global Siemens Smart Infrastructure division and report to the National Operations Center Engineering team.
Collaborate closely with and take direction from the head of the national Cybersecurity/IT Solutions and Services CoC.
Act as a key subject matter expert on Cybersecurity/IT and works collaboratively across teams to help grow the maturity of the organization and its capabilities
Design, engineer, and support Cybersecurity/IT solutions and services required by Siemens Operational Technology (OT) projects.
Design Federal Risk Management Framework (RMF) solutions and produce required diagrams, schedules, and deliverables.
Execute core cybersecurity functions and operational activities, including the completion of cybersecurity questionnaires, assessments, and risk reviews.
Support internal stakeholders such as the Digital Services Center and Customer Service Center to deploy, configure, and monitor Cybersecurity/IT solutions and services.
Support on-site technicians in installing, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting Cybersecurity/IT solutions and services.
Support project estimators to ensure effective sales to operations turn-over.
Support the national Cybersecurity/IT Solutions and Services CoC to implement new portfolio offerings and organizational capabilities.
You will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of experience with common cybersecurity technologies including, but not limited to; firewalls, IDS/IPS, HIDS/HIPS, EDR, vulnerability scanners, SCAP scanners, and SIEM.
2+ years of experience with common IT technologies including, but not limited to; switches, routers, wireless Aps, SFPs, structured cabling, hypervisors, and Windows OS.
1+ years of experience with designing best-practice cybersecurity architectures including, but not limited to; trust boundary and segmentation design, DMZ designation, network tap and traffic collection.
1+ years of experience with designing best-practice IT architectures including, but not limited to: calculating port densities, determining PoE loads, selecting cabling types and layouts, designing TCP/IP subnetting and segmentation, vLAN organization, and selecting logical switching topologies.
Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and industry best practices including, but not limited to; NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) Controls, CIS hardening guidelines and federal Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and controls.
Strong written and oral communication skills – ability to communicate effectively across teams and foster good working relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders.
Ability to effectively organize and run both remote and in-person meetings, including, but not limited to: developing agendas, organizing topics, promoting participation, taking minutes, etc.
Ability to travel up to 30%
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and related toolsets, such as SharePoint Online, PowerAutomate, and PowerApps.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Familiarity with common Cybersecurity and IT design and execution tools such as Visio, Iris Intangi, and project management software.
Experience in a customer service role and ability to effectively communicate technical topics to non-technical audiences.

The pay range for this position is $74,500 - $127,700. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
