GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position reports directly to the Information Security Director. Cybersecurity administrators monitor and maintain cybersecurity related hardware and software controls that prevent unauthorized access. This position provides a proactive and defensive capability for all information technology components related to the Florida Lottery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Develops, deploys, administers, and maintains Information Security Management’s equipment to protect the Lottery’s computing infrastructure including on-premises, cloud, and virtual platforms.
Monitors ISM systems and coordinates with other Florida Lottery departments, gaming system vendors, and other third-party entities to create a secure network environment.
Works with System Architects and Technical staff to implement and review Lottery’s Security Policies.
Coordinates and manages the relationship with Lottery’s Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP).
Collaborates with Business units to balance security and productivity in Lottery work process.
Provides technical guidance and assistance to internal and external auditors during various audit process.
Secures, maintains, resolves, and coordinates action pertaining to security alerts, findings, and incidents.
Provides backup support to ISM Data Security Administrator I, including access and account maintenance for multiple systems governed by ISM policy.
Provides TIER II support (administration, planning, software/hardware maintenance) of to the Lottery’s VPN system.
Provides TIER II support (administration, planning, software/hardware maintenance) for the Lottery’s anti-malware solutions on workstations, laptops, iPads, mobile phones, servers, and firewalls.
Coordinates and schedules network vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
Configures and maintains Lottery Managed File Transfer (MFT) facilities including SFTP software.
Provides TIER II support (administration, scheduling, configuration) for Microsoft Security Products including on premise and cloud solutions.
Provides back up support for ISM related tasks involving ticket Verifications, gaming and control systems, and internal control systems.
Provides cybersecurity related primary or back-up support for all lottery related Second Chance draws, promotions, and raffles
Provides TIER II support (administration, software/hardware maintenance, troubleshooting) for ISM network content management, email security, and endpoint protection.
Assists ISM director as needed to maintain planning, continuity of services, and overall ISM footprint.
Provides TIER II support of all ISM resources licensed to the Florida Lottery that are managed at the NWRDC [Northwest Regional Data Center]
Provides TIER II support (administration, planning, software/hardware maintenance) of to the Lottery’s Extended Detection and Response systems, including vulnerability management.
Maintains relevant certifications or training needed to perform cybersecurity administrator functions.
Attendance is an essential function of this position.
On-call is an essential part of this position’s duties including after-hour and weekend work as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Experienced in Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems.
Experienced in networking to include firewalls, switches, and routers.
Experienced in using and maintaining proxies and web gateway devices.
Experienced in Vulnerability Scanning, tracking, reporting and remediation.
Experienced in Centralized Logging methods and the ability to collect system log data in a heterogeneous environment.
Experienced in Active Directory, Domain Controllers, Azure and Cloud environments.
Experienced in account management on both Windows and Linux environments.
Experienced in email security products in an enterprise environment.
Experienced in threat detection and response to cybersecurity events.
Experienced in administration of Virtual Private Networks.
Experienced in server virtualization platforms including SAN storage hardware.
Ability to work under pressure, adhere to cybersecurity principles, and appropriately access and respond to internal and external cybersecurity events.
Ability to work as a team member.
Ability to interpret scripts in PowerShell, BASH, and/or Python.
Minimum agency-wide requirements for employment:
Successful passing of a criminal background check (state, local, and national) is required.
A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
(Preferred) Bachelor Degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or a computer science related field. Experience may be substituted for formal education.
Maintains strict confidentiality of information learned while working with the Florida Lottery, whether learned through assigned duties or through working with other units. The types of confidential information may include, but are not limited to, payroll information, budget matters, policy decisions, tax matters, employee disciplinary issues, and other personnel data.
