Siemens CYS Defense is a team of dedicated security professionals with the mission to secure Siemens’s IT, OT, and products worldwide. Siemens CYS Defense includes the Threat Intelligence team, which monitors the current Cyber Threat Landscape for Siemens. Based on that know-how and the latest technological trends, Cyber Threat Intelligence provides useful and actionable information in a timely manner to multiple stakeholders including Siemens CERT and Siemens Cyber Defense Center to support in the tactical, operational, and strategical threat-based decision making.
As Cyber Threat Intelligence Engineer (f/m/d) you will:
Work on projects to improve Cyber Threat Intelligence at Siemens; primarily by writing code
Collaborate with internal security teams to implement and automate threat intelligence related processes
Contribute improvements, ideas and features for our internal applications and processes
Develop new features and integrate them into our applications
Increase the automation in our environment and improve our CI/CD pipelines
Operate and troubleshoot our applications on-premises and in the cloud
To make a difference, you must have:
University degree (min. Bachelor) e.g. in Information technolgy or similar
At least 3 years of relevant work experience in at least one of the following areas: Security Engineering, Software development, DevOps Engineering
Significant experience with software development with the following technologies: Python, web frameworks like Django/FastAPI, Javascript, Vue, REST APIs, OpenAPI
Significant experience with Cyber Threat Intelligence Platforms like MISP, etc, and Cyber Threat Intelligence feeds like STIX, and TAXII.
Advanced technical system expertise with the following technologies: Linux, Kubernetes, AWS, Docker, Terraform, Gitlab CI
Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex technical systems with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to present and explain complex technical topics to both management and technical experts
Ability to work in a self-guided and result-oriented fashion with the clear desire to become an acknowledged technical expert in your own area of expertise
Advanced communication skills: clear and concise communication; able to address stakeholders of different backgrounds and technical expertise
Fluent in spoken and written English; proficiency in German a big plus
Knowledge or experience in some of the following areas a plus:
Cloud Security expertise
Work experience in a SOC, CSIRT, CERT, or similar security team
Experience in DevOps, GitOps and agile working
Experience with IAM (OAuth2 / OpenID)
Experience with Zero Trust architectures
Configuration Management experience with Ansible or Puppet
