Northrop Grumman is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer to work with the 705 Combat Training Squadron (CTS) Infrastructure, Development and Engineering (IDE) program to develop and maintain simulation software (SW) and hardware (HW) solutions, build, and maintain network infrastructure, design, and develop simulation SW applications, and evolve and conduct Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) activities for the 705 CTS and Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC). This position is in Albuquerque, NM.
Responsibilities for the Cyber Systems Engineer include :Design and develops new system, applications, and solutions for external customer's enterprise-wide cyber systems and networksProvide cyber security engineering support for a data center leveraging cloud, container, network, server, storage, and virtualization technologies.Ensure system security standards are met for operations development, security risk assessment, systems analysis, systems design, security test and evaluation, certification and accreditation, systems hardening, vulnerability testing and scanning, incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planningProvide analytical support for security policy development and analysis.Integrate new architectural analysis of cyber security features and equip existing system to future needs and trendsProvide engineering recommendations and resolve integrations and testing issues.May interface with external entities including law enforcement, intelligence and other government organizations and agencies. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree with 2 years experience; 0 Years with MastersTop Secret clearance and have the ability to be cleared to special access programsExperience applying secure systems e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST SP 800-53 Security and Privacy Controls for Information Systems and Organizations, and NIST SP 800-160 Developing Cyber Resilient Systems in support of system accreditation under RMF.Experience with Virtualization Technologies (e.g. VMware)Knowledge of security concepts e.g., DNS, including routing, authentication, VPN, proxy services, and DDOS mitigation technologyInformation Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II or III certification Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Cybersecurity or similar field with 2 years of experienceExperience implementing Cloud Technologies (e.g. AWS/Azure) in an existing environmentExperience implementing Container Technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker) in an existing environmentProfessional experience performing cybersecurity duties in a DoD environmentSalary Range: $80,800 - $121,200
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
