Aerospace's Cyber Security and Advanced Platforms Subdivision, Cyber Assessments and Research Department is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to help design, implement, assess and deploy cyber solutions that defend our nation's most valuable assets in space. We are seeking a highly motivated cyber security engineer with a desire to support customers across a full spectrum cyber security activities.
This position is a hybrid work model, with mostly onsite work required in Chantilly, VA, and some partial remote work authorized
What You'll Be Doing Perform research in the areas of cyber and network securityAdvise DoD and IC space system customers on secure design and implementation of systemsReview network architecture designs identify security, dataflow, performance deficienciesIdentify security vulnerabilities and weaknesses in SW, HW and Architecture design for mission environments and be able to make recommended mitigationsLead or participate in projects involving one or more of the following areas: Vulnerability Assessment, Cyber Security Architecture, Cyber Security Prototype/Capability Development, cyber system trade-off studies for various system designs or protocols, validation of network system requirements.Provide recommendations on network architectures and solutions based on technical performance evaluationsContribute to the development of security prototypesThe Cyber Security Engineer position can be filled as either a Cyber Security Engineer Member of the Technical Staff) or Sr. Cyber Security Engineer ( Sr. Member of the Technical Staff)
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements for Cyber Security Engineer: ( Member of Technical Staff)2 or more years of professional experience in cyber securityThis position requires an existing TS/SCI security clearanceBachelors or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical area of studyDemonstrable proficiency in one or more programming languagesProficient in Linux and Unix based operating systemsKnowledge and/or experience of both offensive and defensive cyber security tools, tactics, techniques and proceduresKnowledge and/or experience performing vulnerability assessment and mitigationNetwork engineering and architecture knowledge (TCP/IP, IPSEC, HTTP/S, routing protocols)Willing to travel approximately 10% of the timeMinimum Requirements for Cyber Security Engineer: ( Senior Member of Technical Staff)All of the above requirements for a Cyber Security Engineer plus5 or more years of professional experience in cyber securityHow You Can Stand Out
