A Brief Overview
This role is for a Cyber Range Architect to design, develop, and run a Cyber Range for customers to participate in Capture the Flag (CTF) events, Red Team exercises, and cyber training. These events are offered to WWT customers as a product of the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) offering.
Job Responsibilities
Engage with customers to obtain requirements and specifications for planned scenarios or training events to be conducted. Perform a wide range of system engineering tasks to support cyber range design, connectivity and systems integrationPerform purple team activities to include attack simulations and network defense analysis on in-house cyber range to further develop attack detection on sensitive networks and increase the effectiveness of blue team operatorsResponsibility for system and administration for corporate cyber lab, including the administration of networking, virtualization, compute, and security technologiesCompile & maintain resource documentation related to labs and eventsLive CTF event operational support of the Cyber Range
Qualifications:
Education Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Cybersecurity, Engineering, or Computer Science preferred
Work Experience
A minimum of 3 years' progressive experience in a related field preferred
Other Work Experience
Experience in penetration testing, offensive security, and/or red teaming that can relate to a Cyber Range
Experience with multiple open source tools for security testing that can relate to a Cyber Range
Experience with industry standard security best practices and multiple techniques for penetration testing
Travel Requirements
Up to 10% of the time Domestic Travel only
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Fundamental knowledge of Networking, Compute, Virtualization
Broad technical knowledge of security products, tools, techniques, and controls
Ability to collaborate and share knowledge within a fast-moving, multifaceted Cyber Range environment
Develop and execute training exercises and Capture the Flag scenarios in a controlled Cyber Range environment
