What will you be doing?
The Cyber Defense Analyst works to identify potential computer network defense incidents within the enterprise. Supporting the Government in mitigation and remediation of system vulnerabilities, Documenting, Tracking, and reporting incidents at all levels within the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the collection of intrusion artifacts (e.g., source code, malware, and trojans) using discovered data to enable mitigation of potential Computer Network Defense incidents within the enterprise; coordinate with and provide expert technical support to enterprise-wide Computer Network Defense technicians to resolve Computer Network Defense incidents; and correlate incident data to identify specific vulnerabilities and make recommendations that enable expeditious remediation.Monitor and protect the security of the AF Intelligence Enterprise from internal and external computer network defense threatsWhen directed by the Government Lead, mitigate/remediate system vulnerabilities and report compliance status to applicable personnel. Also ensure appropriate notifications and mission impact assessments are accomplishedDocument, track, and report incidents from initial detection through resolution using standard DOD/DAF incident reporting guidance and methodsDevelop and publish incident response guidance and high quality incident reports to appropriate audiences.Serve as technical expert and liaison to external incident responder personnel and brief incident details as necessaryRespond to, draft, and process task orders (TASKORDS) as directed by Government Lead.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge and understanding of routing protocols.Knowledge and understanding of Palo Alto & Virtual Machine Scale Sets, Cisco ASA, and Firepower firewalls.Knowledge and understanding of load balancers.Experience with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and other cloud platforms.4+ years of experience in the Cloud network engineering fieldBachelor's Degree or Higher in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field8140/DCWF CertificationIAT level II CertificationCSSP Infrastructure Support certificationSecurity Clearance: Top Secret/SCI with potential for higher read-ins
