Leidos is currently seeking full-time Customer Service Representatives to support the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Office of Single Family Housing in their Mission to create strong, sustainable, inclusive communities and quality affordable homes for all.
As a Customer Service Representative, you will assist homebuyers, homeowners, renters, and mortgage servicers with various homebuying, housing, and loan servicing requests. This is a great opportunity to gain knowledge of FHA Housing Administration (FHA) mortgage programs and HUD rental assistance programs through ongoing training while delivering excellent customer service to connect others with program resources.
Our Call Center is in Indianapolis, Indiana and is open from 8 am to 8 pm Eastern Time Monday through Friday. Being available to work an 8-hour shift between these hours and being flexible with start and end times is key in order to meet our customer's needs.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
Field phone calls and reply to emails from the public on housing and FHA mortgages, in accordance with standard operating procedures.Provide information and resources to customers to deliver customer service excellence.Use knowledge base and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to answer customer requests.Document customer email and phone communications in internal database.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificateMinimum of two (2) years of customer service, call center, or contact center work historyDemonstrated ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulationsProfessional, effective communicator with demonstrated de-escalation skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsMS Office (Outlook, Word, Teams) and the ability to navigate relevant web sitesKeyboarding proficiency of 40+ words per minuteAbility to successfully obtain a Public Trust Security clearance, which includes a credit check and background investigation
Preferred Qualifications:
Call Center (Omnichannel) background a plusExperience in rental property management or mortgage servicing, including handling complaints
This position pays $17.00 per hour.
This position is covered under the Service Contract Act and is subject to minimum wage demands as well as the minimum Health and Welfare benefit. Leidos ensure that all provisions are met through their wages and benefits
