Create competitive advantage by driving an intense focus on the customer experience through research, design, development, and execution of small to large scale customer journey initiatives. Partner with North American Operations, Marketing, Sales, and IT to develop plans and programs focused on operational and service excellence and the respective training and communication needed to achieve the company's financial, strategic, and total customer experience objectives. Participates in and may organize and control the activities of project teams, assigning personnel to the various aspects of the project and directing their activities. Collaborate with the appropriate stakeholders to transition great customer "ideas" to execution and implementation. Responsible and accountable for the ultimate project achievement and relative metrics for success. Assists in the management of all phases of the project life cycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation. Participates in and may coordinate project related activities with other functional groups or external vendors.
What you'll do:
Responsible for identifying customer experience needs/opportunities and the relative strategic design/redesign solutions needed. Works on moderate to complex customer experience design projects and is responsible for tracking key project milestones, escalating issues, and adjusting project plans to accurately reflect the project's progress. Responsible for project planning, scheduling, status reporting and project budgets. Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk, and resources associated with the project. Works effectively in a matrixed organization to gain commitment and achieve desired results with resources reporting to other functional areas. Develops strong relationships at all levels to facilitate attainment of Avis Budget Group's strategic engagement goals Assists in developing and reporting on process metrics and standards around the total customer experience as well as organizational performance, organizational adoption and capability. Develops and produces metrics and analysis presentations for executives.
What we're looking for:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field required. Minimum of five (3) years Airport or Local Market Operations experience. Experience interacting with all levels of management/staff and across company lines required. Minimum of five (5) years management experience.
Skills and abilities you should have:
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills with all audience levels including line employees as well as senior executives Demonstrated written communication skills; experience in writing for a variety of channels/audiences Requires solutions-focused, self-starter with proven experience in problem solving and process optimization Ability to balance cyclical daily, weekly, and monthly demands with project work in a fast-paced environment with high volume and complex demands. Attention to detail and ability to manage successfully towards timelines. Exceptional negotiating, influencing and persuasion skills such as the ability to use data to support recommendations and influence outcomes Strong interpersonal skills to support, advise, coach and influence others. Ability to be flexible and quickly adjust in times of change Ability to build effective partnerships and relationships with various levels of the Company Excellent project management skills with the ability to provide direction and support to others Experience presenting to different audiences verbally, in writing and in presentation formats required. Requires solutions-focused, self Proficient MS Office skills required including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Proficient PC skills required.
