Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience with cloud native architectures in a customer-facing or support role.
Experience delivering business and technical presentations at the executive-level.
Experience managing a quota-carrying sales team.
Preferred qualifications: Experience as a technology consultant, technical architect, technical sales engineer, or solutions architect.
Knowledge of Cloud-based Security, API management or Data management tools.
Ability to craft a message and tailor it for a given audience. Ability to mix technical expertise with simple, everyday language to deliver a story that is memorable and useful.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, and constantly evolving team environment.
Ability to inspire/grow sales teams and work with cross-functional teams to achieve common business objectives.

As a Customer Engineering Manager in the Small/Medium Business (SMB) organization, you'll lead a team of Customer Engineers who engage with business prospects, discover and assess customer requirements, prepare, present demonstrations of Google's Cloud services, and address and overcome technical objections that arise throughout the business process.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $139,000-$213,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
Hire, coach, and drive a customer engineering team to deliver against assigned goals while prioritizing an excellent customer experience for customers and prospects.
Work with regional SMB Sales leadership to qualify and prioritize coverage for customer opportunities. Provide technical leadership during review meetings and offer insights to the team. Align products' go-to-market strategies and offers that fit with customer's technical and business needs.
Organize, train, and equip the Customer Engineering team on go-to-market readiness, identify gaps in preparedness and build plans to ensure the team is properly equipped to meet goals. Coach Customer Engineers on Google Cloud specialty products, ensuring they can demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments. Align with overall Google Cloud portfolio business strategy.
Build relationships in accounts, and be the technical sponsor and driver for our strategic business opportunities.
