Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
12 years of experience as a technical sales engineer lead in a SaaS or cloud provider environment, or in a customer facing role.
Experience in leading Customer Engineering and Sales Engineering teams.
Preferred qualifications: MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science.
Experience in database and information management as it relates to big data trends and issues within businesses.
Experience in leading Customer Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture teams in a high-growth SaaS vendor.
Experience serving in the capacity of a pre-sales, field engineering manager or customer-facing field engineer.
Knowledge of PaaS, SaaS, IaaS, public cloud, and related industry.
Ability to work occasionally across multiple time zones including United States hours.

As a Customer Engineer Manager, you will lead a team of pre-sales engineers who engage with sales prospects, discover and assess customer requirements, prepare and present demonstrations of Google's Workspace services, and address and overcome technical objections that arise throughout the sales process. In addition, you will work cross-functionally with our Product, Support, Engineering and Sales teams.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with Sales and Customer Engineering (CE) leadership to determine proper staffing levels to support annualized business goals, establish job requisitions, assemble applicant pool, and lead interview team to fill open positions.
Assess the CE team's go-to-market readiness, identify gaps in CE preparedness, and build plans to ensure the team is properly trained and equipped to perform in support of annualized business goals.
Work with Google Workspace Sales team leadership to identify, qualify, and prioritize coverage for business opportunities. Participate in periodic opportunity review meetings providing insight into how to best secure technical success.
Engage in key accounts as executive sponsors, establish relationships with C-levelacross the region's customer base.
Work with the sales team, customer support, product management, customer solutions, and engineering to resolve product problems affecting pre- and post-sales customer satisfaction.
