The Team:Our Integrated Design Tech Platform Team is part of the Custom Design Enablement Team within the System Foundry Engineering Group of IFS. We are a tightly knit group of custom analog, logic, and mask designers spanning locations including, but not limited to, Folsom California, US, Bangalore, India, and Malaysia Penang. We are dedicated to helping Intel achieve its IDM2.0 goals by helping enable, develop, and support world-class design platforms, foundational and custom intellectual property (IP), reference design, test chips, and end-to-end circuit design.
The Role:Lead in an Analog Engineer role chartered to deliver Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Custom (Design) Reference Flow (CRF) Kits that customers use to adopt our technology and design their circuits and chips with.The leader will work closely with our EDA vendor partners, technical writers, technology and process design kit teams to define, develop and perform Quality Assurance (QA) for CRF Kits on Intel's industry leading Foundry technologies. The role may require direct project supervision of one ore more engineers.Additionally, this person will also be expected to provide inputs and expertise wherever possible within the team and to step up to lead the way out of whatever challenges the team may face.
Key Responsibilities:Lead and own high quality, on-time delivery of the CRF Kits for IFS customers, including development, review, QA, debug, and improvement definition.Use excellent communication to drive clarity across customers, stakeholders, partners, managers by clearly and concisely summarizing problems, status, data, and proposals both orally and in writing.Have excellent teamwork: With a relatively small team, we need everyone to help however and wherever they can. This means being flexible in assignment as dictated by program needs and may include direct or indirect supervision of junior team members or working independently.Develop and improve scripts to enhance quality and improve efficiency.Perform Analog and Mixed Signal circuit design as required to support CRF development and improvement.Lead by example: This is a team that values doers and expects everyone to chip in to meet our deliverables.Eagerness to learn: There will be ample opportunity to expand knowledge across different technology nodes, EDA tools, circuits and design methodologies.
Qualifications
Behavioral and technical skills for this position include the following:Excellent experience in CMOS Analog and Mixed Signal Design, Validation, and Layout using industry leading EDA toolsExcellent written and verbal communicationAbility to thrive in a highly cross functional and collaborative environmentPython, Perl, Shell Scripting experience
Minimum Qualifications:MSEE with 3+ years or BSEE with 5+ years of prior CMOS Analog and Mixed Signal Design experienceKnowledge of Very Large-Scale Integration (VLSI)Knowledge of Cadence and/or Synopsys custom design and layout tool suite and Spice/FastSpice/AMS simulation toolsKnowledge of CMOS device physicsKnowledge of UNIX and scriptingKnowledge of design model building and validation methodologiesExperience leading teamsRequirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and/or schoolwork, classes, and research

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
