As a Cross-Platform Architect in Vanguard's Corporate Systems SPMC Apps area, you will play a key role in guiding the design, integration, and implementation of Vanguard's intranet (CrewNet), external facing website (Corporate Site) and CMDA product that generates fund material for websites. You will build the foundation for current and future use cases of the products in SPMC Apps area. You will help define the reference and implementation architectures for strategic technology projects across many areas. This role works with three different product families and helps them advance their technical roadmap.
In this role, you will: Own the ongoing product roadmaps and architecture, according to business strategies and enterprise architectureCollaborate with the broader architecture community to ensure that their products align with target architectures and technology roadmaps and provides input on required platform capabilities and improving development tools/processesWork with other product teams, technology experts, and business stakeholders to provide functional supportAssist in the evaluation of vendors and products and participates in build vs. buy discussions with the product teamsAct as highest-level technical expert, resolving issues, assessing any potential risks and identifying solutionsProvide technical guidance to product team(s) as appropriatePerform feasibility analysis on potential future projectsAssist in the development of and management of architecture governance process(es)Track industry trends and maintains knowledge of new technologiesPrepare and present product-related documentationMentor less experienced crew members and contributes to overall development of the organizationParticipate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.What it takes:
Minimum of eight years related work experience, with at least three years of technology architect experience.Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.Special Factors
